For over thirty five years, this popular New England holiday tradition has offered the opportunity to both view and purchase work by 60+ top regional artists. With a juried selection of artists, caliber of work is high. In lieu of an admission fee, we ask that you bring a canned good or goods to help support the Rhode Island Food Bank.

RISD CRAFT Fall 2022

RISD Craft features handmade fine art and design work by over 130 artists. The work on view speaks to the quality, attention to detail, and mastery of craftsmanship students and alumni hone at RISD and bring to their own practices in a wide variety of media.

Viewers have an opportunity to engage with makers while finding unique gifts and one-of-a-kind items at this sale, which runs twice a year. While checking out the exemplary craftsmanship, be sure to cast your vote for your favorite artist to make them eligible for the People’s Choice Award and a cash prize.

Art in the Park

South Portland's annual Art in the Park Show & Sale is a summer favorite of participating artists and the public. Held on the second Saturday in August in beautiful Mill Creek Park, the show features original art and photography by up to 170 artists, a food court, and music in the afternoon. Admission is free. The show opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 4:00 p.m.

RISD Craft 2021, the annual alumni + student art sale on Benefit Street, will take place on Saturday, October 9, from 10 am – 5 pm, unless restrictions are still in place that makes holding the event impossible.
