This collection focuses on the #fireforests : the incredible, unsung biodiversity hot spots that are the Longleaf Pine forests. These forests depend on regular fires for survival, and now exist at around 5% of their original range, making them one of the most endangered habitats in North America. For a month fellow artist Laurelin Rian and I sketched the inhabitants of these forests daily. These original ink pieces are the final results from these daily sketches and explorations.

The month ended with a collaborative interlocking enamel pin set, a portion of the proceeds went to benefit The Longleaf Alliance.
